Mini Match & Dance Fundraiser 2025 —

What an Amazing Day!

It’s official: the Mini Match & Dance Fundraiser held at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church on Saturday, April 26, 2025, was an incredible success! With beautiful weather as the backdrop, the day buzzed with laughter, music, and an unforgettable spirit of community and dance.

Afternoon Highlights:

The Mini Match Magic

The event kicked off in the afternoon with the Mini Match competition—a friendly yet lively showcase that captured everyone's heart. Young dancers from duPont Manual High School joined local amateur dancers and seasoned enthusiasts to demonstrate their passion and skill. The room was filled with smiles, cheers, and encouragement as dancers performed their carefully rehearsed routines, from energetic cha-chas to elegant waltzes.

Thomas shined as our charismatic MC, keeping things running smoothly and even jumping onto the dance floor himself between announcements, bringing extra smiles to an already cheerful crowd. Our DJ masterfully managed the music, setting the perfect tone and rhythm for every performance. Parents, friends, and dance lovers filled the seats, offering applause and even bouquets to celebrate the dancers' spirited performances.

Evening Extravaganza:

Dancing to Live Music

When the evening rolled in, the energy elevated even higher. The duPont Manual High School Band wowed the audience with a full lineup of live ballroom, Latin, smooth, and rhythm tunes—think Blackpool elegance with a local Louisville flair! Dancers and guests alike took to the floor, turning the evening into a joyful celebration of dance.

A special highlight came when Ann Marie, our wonderful instructor, spontaneously invited everyone onto the floor for an impromptu line dance. It was a delightful sight to see a room full of dancers—beginners and pros alike—laughing, learning, and moving together. Later, Ann Marie transformed the ballroom into the biggest foxtrot mixer we've ever hosted, with practically everyone stepping onto the floor, mingling, dancing, and having a fantastic time.

Community & Fundraising Success

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our attendees, friends, families, and supporters, the event was not just fun—it was meaningful. Donations poured in throughout the day and evening, directly benefiting the duPont Manual High School Latin & Ballroom Club. These funds will help our talented students travel to their first competition this spring and support their ongoing dance journey.
